Car Insurance GMC (Car Insurance). Is there anyway of avoiding booking fees when booking a train ticket?.?

Is there anyway of avoiding booking fees when booking a train ticket?.? I'm on the RailEasy website, just noticed they charge a £2 booking fee and a card fee of 76p. Is there anyway of avoid these extra costs?, could I buy a ticket at the station and avoid them?. Any help is appreciated, I'm only looking at going from Kidsgrove to Crewe.

You can buy it at the station, or if the station isn't staffed you can buy it on the train from the guard.

Is replacing brakes something a dummy could do, or should I get it done professionally? I have a 91 Toyota Corolla, pretty much the most basic car in the world... GMC . What can I do about this car?

What can I do about this car? So I bought a car, with payments weekly, on April 2nd. The car was test-driven by my husband and the salesman, seemed fine I guess. The owner said that there was not one car on that lot that he thought was unsafe, going as far to say that he if wouldn’t drive his 4 year old in the car, he wouldn’t have it on his lot. He stated if we don’t like the car, bring it back in to switch it out. We have a 2 year warranty, and a 5 year GAP, so we thought ok, go for it. Well, in the days after, we realized a jerking when the car accelerated, and when it went to shift into 2nd - 3rd gear. The brakes also were whistling and grinding after a while, and it got progressively louder. Not too bad, but we took it to the auto shop the dealer associates with. He told us the tires were bad, and that after they were changed the sounds should stop. The jerking had gone away, and we thought that was because we got Silver gas instead of Regular. We didn’t ask about it. He said drive on the new tires for a couple days and it should go away. It has not, and it has gotten a lot louder. Also, while we were there, he said the place we bought the car from replaced the trans, and other things, totalling thousands of dollars in repairs. We took this to mean that they got this car is great condition before they even sold it. It eased our minds a bit. Now today, along with the jerking still, and the brakes whistling and grinding, we thought we could take the owner up on his offer to switch the car out. Nope, he receptionist says that would have only happen in the 1st week of purchase, and that now the car loan is finalized so she can’t do anything. Also, she says the auto shop is going to have to do a trial-and-error to see what’s wrong. I just want to know – with a 2 year warranty, and a payment plan in place, as well as being within the 1st 30 days, can’t we do anything? Even with the owner’s verbal offer to switch it out? What about a trade-in with the same car place? car insurance.

GMC . How to Change the Brake Rotors on a Ford F-150 4X4

Normal truck wear and tear eventually takes its toll; many times this affects your brake rotors. Save time and money by replacing your own F-150 4X4 brake rotors at home. This is a task that anyone with minimal experience in car repair can perform using basic car maintenance tools.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Car jack
Lug wrench
Socket wrench
Pliers
Screwdriver

Step by Step :
1
Open the hood of your truck, locate the master cylinder and take off the cap. Remove half of the brake fluid and replace the cap.
2
Use the car jack to raise the side of the car on which you will be working. Remove the lug nuts on the wheel using a lug wrench. Use a ratchet to remove the brake caliper and a socket wrench to remove the bolts that are found behind the caliper.
3
Locate and remove the grease cap. You will find this on the wheel hub. Then use a pair of pliers to remove the cotter pin.
4
Remove the spindle nut using a socket wrench. Once you have done this you will be able to remove the bearing retainer with a screwdriver.
5
Remove the wheel bearing and then the wheel rotor. Both of these can be pulled off using just your hands.
6
Attach the new rotor and replace the components that you removed in the previous steps. After putting on the new rotor, replace the wheel bearing and then the bearing retainer. Put the spindle nut back on and then do the same with the cotter pin.
7
Apply new grease to the grease cap and replace it onto the wheel. Put the wheel back on and tighten the lug nuts to secure it in place. Repeat this process for the rest of the wheels.
Tips & Warnings
A turkey baster works well for removing the brake fluid in Step 1.

After removing the brake caliper, tie it to the strut so that it does not hang in the air while you are working on the rotor.

Make sure your truck is securely held in place when performing any work on it.

GMC . How to Do a Front Brake Job on a 1993 Toyota

Nearly all 1993 Toyotas are equipped with front disc brakes that require servicing on a regular basis. Performing a brake job on your Toyota can help retain your vehicle's stopping performance while preventing further damage to certain braking system components. Most brake jobs include replacing the brake pads and rotors, especially if these components are displaying signs of excess wear and tear. This task should take no longer than two to three hours to complete.
Difficulty:Moderate
Instructions Things You'll Need
Brake pads
Rotors
Floor jack
Jack stands
Penetrating lubricant
Anti-seize compound
Ratchet and socket set
Lug wrench
C-clamp
Mechanic's wireRemoval of Brake Components

Step by Step :
1
Open the hood, and disconnect the negative terminal cable from the battery. Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the wheel, but do not remove the wheel.
2
Use a floor jack to lift the front end of the vehicle off the ground, and support the vehicle with jack stands. Remove the lug nuts from the wheel, and slide the wheel off the axle.
3
Remove the two mounting bolts from the caliper with a ratchet and socket. Slide the caliper off the rotor, and suspend the caliper from a suspension component using mechanic's wire. Remove the old brake pads from the caliper, and detach the retaining clips from the old pads. Place one of the old brake pads over the caliper piston, and use a C-clamp to compress the piston until it is flush against the caliper housing.
4
Remove the retaining nut and pin from the spindle using a ratchet and socket. Apply penetrating lubricant to the area where the rotor and spindle meet. Tap the fins of the rotor with a rubber mallet to break the rotor loose from the spindle. Grasp the rotor with both hands, and pull it away from the axle.
Installation of Brake Components

Step by Step :
1
Apply anti-seize compound to the spindle surface, and slide the new rotor into place. Reattach the retaining nut and pin with a ratchet and socket.
2
Attach the retaining clips to the new brake pads. Insert the brake pads into the caliper, and slide the caliper onto the brake rotor. Reattach and tighten the mounting bolts with a ratchet and socket.
3
Slide the wheel onto the axle, and reattach the lug nuts by hand. Remove the jack stands from under the vehicle, and lower it to the ground. Tighten the lug nuts with the lug wrench. Reconnect the negative terminal cable to the battery, and close the hood.
Tips & Warnings
Inspect the caliper, spindle and brake lines for any signs of excess wear and tear. Inspect other parts of the vehicle's suspension system for excess wear.

Take caution when working on any elevated vehicle. Make sure the jack stands are positioned properly underneath the vehicle.

cooled engine. If you have a pre-1975 Volkswagen, you won't find a drop of water in it.) Of course, nothing is as simple as it seems. Automakers add a couple of gimmicks to keep the water from boiling too easily. These include a water pump to keep it moving; a fan and a radiator to cool it off; a pressure cap to retard boiling; a thermostat to help the engine quickly reach and maintain the proper temperature; and antifreeze/coolant to raise the boiling point and keep the water from rusting the engine and freezing in winter. Put them all together, and you have your vehicle's cooling system (see Figure 8-1). The cooling system is highly efficient. It usually requires almost no work to keep it operating — just a watchful eye for leaks and an occasional check or change of coolant. This chapter explores the system part by part. Chapter 14 shows you what to do if your car overheats and how to maintain and troubleshoot the cooling system and make easy repairs. When the fuel/air mixture is ignited in the cylinders, the temperature inside the engine can reach thousands of degrees Fahrenheit. It takes only half that heat to melt iron, and your engine would be a useless lump of metal in about 20 minutes if your vehicle couldn't keep things cool. Naturally, the liquid (coolant and water) that circulates around the cylinders in the engine block gets very hot, and so it's continually circulated back to the radiator, where it cools off before heading back to the scene of the action. The radiator is designed to cool the liquid quickly by passing it over a large cooling surface. The liquid enters the radiator through the top radiator hose, which is usually connected to (you guessed it) the top of the radiator (refer
